it was important to Linda Grieve, a former educator,
to have education as one of the cornerstones of the

Linda Grieve
Linda founded Perennial Gardens in 1996 to fill a
need in the Des Moines area for quality Iowa garden
design, installation and maintenance. Linda’s
background includes a BS in psychology, a Masters
degree in education/counseling and numerous courses
in design and plant materials from U. of Nebraska
and DMACC. Linda is involved in several organizations,
including serving as the current secretary/treasurer
of the Iowa Nursery and Landscape Association and
a member of the Site Development Committee at Terrace
Hill. Linda’s many interests include gardening,
reading and traveling with her family.

James Noelck
James, registered Landscape Architect, has been managing
Perennial Gardens since 1997. James has 12 years experience
in design/build projects from their conception through
installation and follow-up. James’ speaking experience
includes the Des Moines Botanical Center, garden clubs
across central Iowa and other organizations. James enjoys
outdoor activities, such as golf and gardening, and
spending time with his family.

Lynn Kuhn
Lynn, registered Landscape Architect and Certified
Nursery Professional in Iowa, has 12 years experience
in residential and commercial landscape design and construction.
Lynn has much public speaking experience on topics related
to the design process and landscaping issues. She enjoys
gardening, reading, home improvement projects and spending
time with her family.

Dan Canova
Dan, Operations Manager, has a Bachelors of Landscape
Architecture from Iowa State University. Dan’s
unique design and construction experience includes involvement
in projects such as Better Homes and Gardens Test Gardens,
1999 US Senior Open, and numerous residential projects.
Dan enjoys hunting, golf, remodeling and spending time
with his 3 children.

Perennial Gardens are very experienced. They can do everything
